· Forgive quickly. Don’t hold grudges. They will surly consume you. It takes too much energy away from positivity. Just let go and move on.
· Stop trying to control other people. The only person you can change is yourself.

· Be happy with what you have but always strive for more. If you are comfortable with what you have you will never get what you desire. Be happy, but not comfortable.
· Live honestly. Never lie to yourself or others, but be careful not to hurt them. If you want to say something negative, make it positive. It takes practice but it is possible.
· Value family. Sometimes they may be the only people you have. Anyone can be family, common DNA is not necessary.
· Trust your gut. If your gut is telling you that you are in a bad situation, you are. If it is telling you something just isn’t right, it’s not. Accept this and embrace it.
· Never make a threat you don’t intend to carry out. This also equally applies to promises. You are only as good as your word. Do not tell someone you will do something and then not do it. People count on you to do what you say. Don’t disappoint them or, more importantly, yourself.
· Know when to hold ‘em. Know when to fold ‘em. If you are in a bad situation that only seems to get worse, get out. However there is a difference in getting out and chickening out. Don’t let fear rule you.
